Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information The 5200 Event Center ("we," "us") collects when you visit www.the5200.com, request or book an event, or communicate with us, and how we use and protect it.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: name, email address, phone number, mailing address, company name, event details (date, type, guest count, notes), day-of and emergency contact names and numbers, referral information, electronic signatures on agreements, insurance certificates you upload, and messages you send us.
- Payment information: card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. For Zelle, cash, check or wire we record the amount, date and method.
- Automatically: standard web-server logs (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, time), cookies needed to keep you signed in and to remember your language choice, and the IP address and time at which you sign an agreement or give consent.
How we use it
- To hold, approve and manage your booking; prepare and deliver your rental agreement; collect payments and deposits; verify insurance; and provide the event.
- To send booking-related communications by email and text message (see SMS Terms): confirmations, agreement and payment links, reminders, day-of logistics, receipts and, after your event, a thank-you and request for a review.
- To pay referral commissions when you were referred by one of our partners (the partner is told the renter's name, event date and type, and the status of the booking so they can see what they earned).
- To keep records required by law, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and protect the safety of guests and staff.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Who we share it with
Only service providers who help us run the venue, under contract and only as needed: our web host (hosting.com), payment processor (Stripe), text-message carrier (Twilio), email delivery, and our bookkeeper or attorney when required. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect people or property.
Cookies and translation
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, a cookie to remember your language choice, and Google's website translator if you choose a language other than English (Google may receive the page text to translate it). You can clear cookies in your browser at any time.
Your choices
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message to opt out; reply HELP for help. Email: use the unsubscribe link or reply asking us to stop. We will still send transactional messages required to complete a booking you have made.
- Access, correction or deletion: email bookings@the5200.com or call (614) 937-0000. We keep signed agreements, payment records and insurance certificates as long as the law and our insurer require.
Security
Pages are served over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, uploaded documents are kept outside the public web folder, and access to booking records is limited to our staff.
Children
Our services are for adults 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
