When a family loses someone, the last thing they should do is cook, set up tables and clean. The 5200 Event Center is a private, quiet, 6,500-square-foot hall on the east side of Columbus built for the gathering after the service: catered food ready when the cars arrive, tables set, tributes playing on our screens, and our staff handling the room so the family can sit with the people who came.

Food is handled
Our kitchen prepares the repast meal: fried and baked chicken, mac and cheese, green beans, candied yams, salads, rolls, fruit and vegetable trays, drinks. Served buffet or family style by our staff, with to-go containers for the family afterward.
Tributes on ten screens
Bring the photo slideshow or the service recording and it plays on ten 75-inch screens throughout the room. A microphone and sound are ready for remarks and prayer.
Private and peaceful
The whole building is yours. No other event, no public walk-ins. In-house staff at the door greet guests and direct parking.
Parking at the door
A large private lot steps from the entrance for the procession and for older guests.
Flexible timing
Three-hour minimum, longer if the family wants to linger. We do not rush a repast.

Our live calendar shows what is open, including partly booked days with the hours still available. Choose your start time and hours and see an estimate instantly.

Sign and pay the deposit
We confirm the same day. Review and e-sign the rental agreement from your phone and pay the deposit by card, Zelle, cash, check or wire.

Show up and celebrate
Arrive 30 minutes early to set up. Our staff, DJ, kitchen and security run the room; you run the party.

How quickly can you host a repast?
If the date is open on our calendar, usually within two to three days, sometimes the next day. Call or text (614) 937-0000 and we will confirm availability while you are on the phone.
Can the funeral home arrange it for us?
Yes. Funeral directors are welcome to book and coordinate directly with us on behalf of the family.
What food do you serve at a repast?
A traditional repast meal from our kitchen: fried and baked chicken, wings, mac and cheese, candied yams, green beans, salads and rolls, fresh fruit and vegetable displays, soft drinks and water. We can adjust for the family's wishes.
Can we play a slideshow or the service video?
Yes. Our AV system puts it on ten 75-inch screens around the room, with a microphone for remarks.
How much does a repast cost?
Our hourly rates are published on the live booking calendar, so you see your date's cost before you ask; the calendar also gives an instant estimate with add-ons.
